Quaker Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bars Recipe Recipe

½ cup pure maple syrup

½ cup brown sugar

1 cup refined coconut oil melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

a few pinches pink salt

1⅓ cup rice krispies

1⅓ cup rolled oats

½ cup vegan mini semisweet chocolate chips


1Mix in the chocolate last and fridge and they’re nice and chewy

2In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, brown sugar, coconut oil, vanilla extract and salt until smooth.

3Add in the rice krispies and oats. Stir to combine.

4Lastly, stir in the chocolate chips.

5Line a small baking tray with parchment paper.

6Press down the granola bar mixture evenly into a medium-thick layer. You can use another piece of parchment paper on top with a few heavy books on top to really press it down.

7Refrigerate for 2 hours.

8Remove from the refrigerator and use a pizza cutter or a very sharp knife to cut into 16 bars. Enjoy!
