Homemade Vegan Tofu Bacon Strips (Gluten Free) Recipe

½ tsp liquid smoke

1 tsp pasta sauce

¼ tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp pure maple syrup

2 tbsp tamari

⅛ block extra-firm tofu


1Cut the ⅛ of the tofu block into thin-medium slices, such as in the photos.

2Mix together all the ingredients, aside from the tofu, in a small, shallow dish.

3Layer the tofu evenly in the dish, making sure the mixture covers the tofu fully.

4Allow the marinade to sit for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.

5After at least two hours, place the tofu slices in a single layer in an air fryer.

6Air fry at 390 degrees F for 10 minutes, flipping around halfway through.

7Once the tofu is ready, remove from the air fryer and use bacon as you would in any recipes!
