Plant Based Pecan Apple Crisp Recipe Recipe

3 medium red apples

6 tbsp vegan butter

¾ cups all-purpose flour

¾ cups dark brown sugar

½ cup dry rolled oats

1½ tsp ground cinnamon

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

½ tsp pink salt

½ cup pecans chopped


1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2Grease the bottom of the baking tray with extra vegan butter.

3In a large bowl, mix together the flour, ½ cup of brown sugar, oats, pecans and salt. Stir in the butter.

4Place the apples at the bottom of the baking dish and toss with the remaining ¼ cup of brown sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice.

5Evenly spread the apples over the base of the baking dish.

6Press the crumb mixture together to create clumps, then sprinkle it over the apples.

7Bake for 1 hour, until the apples are soft.

8Once the time is up, remove the baking dish from the oven. Allow it to cool on a heat proof surface for 10-15 minutes.

9Then cut into 6 servings, topping each serving with vegan cool whip or ice cream. Enjoy!
