Chocolate Trail Mix Bars Recipe

🔪Prep Time: 20 minutes


¾ cup old-fashioned oats

½ cup bran flakes cereal

½ cup mixed nuts, chopped

¼ cup dried cherries

¼ cup dried cranberries

¼ cup raw shelled hempseed

3 tablespoons peanut butter

¼ cup maple syrup

½ cup dairy-free chocolate chips, melted


1Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper and come up about 3 inches on opposite sides. This will act as a handle to remove the bars from the dish.

2Add the oats, cereal, nuts, cherries, cranberries, and hempseed to a large bowl and mix well.

3Mix the peanut butter and syrup together and pour into the large bowl. Mix well. Add the melted chocolate and mix again.

4Press firmly into the prepared dish and into all corners. Let set in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

5Grab the “handles” of the parchment paper and lift out of the dish. Place on a cutting board and slice down the center. Turn and make three even cuts, which will give you eight long bars.
