Chocolate Covered Strawberry Milkshake Recipe
By Peanut Palate
🔪Prep Time: 15 mins
For the Shake
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 to 1¼ cups oat milk sub: any other plant based milk – cashew milk will be the closest.
2 frozen bananas chopped
½ tsp vanilla extract
1-2 tbsp liquid sweetener add as desired – agave, 100% pure maple syrup, coconut syrup or other
For the Chocolate Drizzle
1½ tbsp vegan dark chocolate or use semisweet, but you'll need less sweetener
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 to 1½ tbsp liquid sweetener add as desired, depending on how dark your chocolate is. If you use semisweet chocolate, you'll need less sweetener.
⅛ tsp vanilla extract
1To make the chocolate drizzle, add the ingredients to a small saucepan over medium low heat. Start with 1 tbsp of sweetener.
2Constantly stir with a whisk, and once it is all melted, give it a taste. If you want it sweeter, add in another 1/2 tbsp (or more) of sweetener. Once done, set it aside off the heat. If it is too thick, mix in a little bit of water or plant based milk and put it on low heat over the stove until it starts to melt. It should be "drizzle-able" so not too thick and not too thin.
3For the shake, blend all shake ingredients in a blender. Once it is all thoroughly blended, set aside.
4Take a long glass cup. Take some chocolate mixture on a spoon.
5Once the chocolate is the right consistency, take some on a spoon and smear it on the insides of the cup, as you see in the photos. Leave some for the top as well.
6Pour the shake into the cup (the chocolate drizzle will show on the glass walls). Top it vegan whipped cream (optional) and drizzle the top with the rest of the chocolate.
7Drink it right away!

Earth of Maria
I’ve never been good at introductions because when they’re needed, I seem to forget every single interesting thing about myself. But I guess we’ll start with the basics. My name is Maria, and I am a twenty year old student from England. I study history at the University of Oxford and live in Brighton, but I was born in Russia and moved to the UK around ten years ago. I’m a vegan foodie (as you can probably tell by this blog), a lover of long walks and somewhere awkwardly between extrovert and introvert. Veganism and healthy eating are a huge part of my life, given that both have helped me overcome an unhealthy relationship with food. Finding balance took a lot of time and patience. But, as with many things in life, hard work proved 110% worth it! Whenever I’m not in the kitchen or working in my room, you’ll often find me at the gym, or at the grocery store looking for inspo for my next recipe.
