Holiday Vegan Cheese Spread Recipe

🔪Prep Time: 2 hrs


1 cup shelled sunflower seeds (raw, unroasted, unsalted)

1/2 red bell pepper

1/4 cup nutritional yeast

3 Tbs lemon juice

1 Tbs apple cider vinegar

1 Tbs white miso

2 cloves garlic

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp thyme

1/4 tsp turmeric

1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)

Up to 2 Tbs water as needed to blend


1Cover seeds with hot water and allow to soak 1-2 hrs or more.

2Drain seeds and add to blender

3Add all remaining ingredients (except water) and blend until smooth

4Scrape down the sides as necessary

5Add 1 to 2 Tbs water as needed to make a smooth and creamy paste

6Cover and allow to sit overnight in fridge for best flavor

7Serve with your favorite Vegan Crackers or Crudités

8Garnish with addtional paprika or thyme as desired
