Easy Tikka Masala Pasta Recipe

1 tsp. cumin

1 tsp. ground cardamom

1 tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp olive oil

1 bay leaf

6 green onions chopped

4 garlic cloves chopped

2 tbsp chopped ginger

½ tsp turmeric

2 tbsp. ground coriander

¼ cup water

3 cups chopped tomatoes

salt to taste

1 cup heavy cream I used the vegan brand Belsoy

1 tsp garam masala

1 can chickpeas

12 oz pasta your choice

¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves


1In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. And cook the pasta until al dente

2In a large pan. add the olive oil and the white part of the green onion and sauté for 3 minutes.

3Add the ginger and garlic. Season with salt. Cook for another 1 minute.

4Add the spices with ¼ cup of water. Cook for 1 minute.

5Add the crushed tomatoes. Season with salt. Mix well. Cover with a lid. Cook the tomatoes for 10 minutes.

6Add the heavy cream, garam masala, remaining green onion and chickpeas. Stir.

7Add the cooked pasta to the sauce.

8Serve and garnish with chopped cilantro leaves.
